As you build up for the big day when you're actually going to quit smoking once and for all, it's always good to have any help you can find and wherever possible, ensure you're not going to try and go it alone.

Each time you find a great stop smoking tip its a good idea to compile it in a list and have it to hand, so here are two ways which really helped me break the nicotine habit painlessly and permanently.

Tip One

To make sure you're successful in your final attempt to give up smoking you need to realise that success does not happen by accident; rather it's your resolve to finally kick the habit and so this means a firm commitment on your part.

There are people, who claim that they just woke up one day and decided to quit smoking, but in my experience, knowing in your heart of hearts that you have to give up is of utmost importance and taking the right steps towards your goal is vital.

If you're plagued with any doubts, you have to shoot them down one by one until you are left with no more excuses.

When it comes to quitting smoking, wishy-washy ideas should be tossed out the window - you need to get leverage and know that it's time to quit!

Tip Two

Make a plan and stick to it!

This for me started with choosing the date I was going to quit smoking and making sure I stayed with it. I used a number of methods to help me give up, but once I had set the date to stop smoking that was it, no turning back!

Tell your friends and family the exact date as an added incentive to see it through! Another benefit to this is that once it's out in the open - if you feel your resolve slipping you'll have other people around you to remind you that you don't want to smoke anymore!

It's easy to tell yourself why you need "just one last cigarette" but not so easy to explain it to others, they don't have the nicotine-demon perched on their shoulder and any excuses the little monster tries to whisper won't sound so seductive to others and hopefully they will point them out for the weak excuses which they really are!

So set a date, tell everyone around you exactly when you're putting out that final cigarette and stick to it, not because you "want to give up" but because "you HAVE to give up"!

#3 Drink lots of water to help flush the nicotine from your system. Water's good for you anyway, so this can only be good for your overall health.

#4 Find a motivation to stop smoking. Maybe someone you know recently had health problems from smoking. Maybe your wife hates it or your afraid your children will think its cool.

#5 Don't give up. If you have a relapse, start again, perhaps trying another method. Don't look at a relapse as failure, but as a learning experience.

Cigarettes release hundreds of chemicals into your system, which do things to your body that can be harmful for years to come. Quitting smoking benefits range from emotional to health benefits. Even after a short amount of time, you can see stop smoking effects after only twenty minutes. Some benefits include:

One of the most popular - and judging with the results, extremely effective - method you are able to choose so as to stop smoking permanently may be the stop smoking shot. This Food and drug administration authorized technique is essentially an injection given by a physician. The stop smoking shot reportedly has helped over 80% of the users beat nicotine dependency, by enabling its recipients to avoid the horrible withdrawal symptoms and stop smoking once and for all.

When news of this method initially hit the scene, it was clearly excellent news to millions of smokers worldwide who have attempted to quit smoking repeatedly only to fail again and again.

For any long-term cigarette smoker that knows what nicotine withdrawal is like, the stop smoking injection is a miracle. To have the ability to make one visit to your doctor, get yourself a instant shot, not ever crave a cigarette for a second time is a medical miracle and a dream come true for people who smoke all over.

The procedure, certainly, will involve a bit more than that. Keep in mind that it is just one single resource, however an important one, and when utilized in combination with additional methods in addition to a positive outlook towards giving up cigarettes, the final results can be near a 100% success rate. No one can make you quit. But for somebody that really wants to quit and is in need of a good way to do so without having the pain of withdrawal and a long term program that requires cutting down slowly, the quit smoking injection is all anybody can demand.

It's essential to understand that the quit smoking injection primarily handles the physical addiction, but that the physical dependency to cigarettes is only one part of the problem. One must know that both sides of the addiction must be overcome so that you can totally give up smoking for good. The other side of the coin is that there is a huge internal component to smoking cigarettes, a mental addiction.

Sometimes, the actual mental addiction is harder to surmount than the physical addiction is. Nonetheless in many cases, the physical dependency which looms invisible in the mind is actually just what reinforces the subconscious addiction, which makes it the most difficult hindrance in quitting tobacco. Luckily for us, this is exactly the impediment the quit smoking injection is most effective at eliminating.

It will require both willpower as well as patience in order to successfully control the psychological addiction, the mental craving for a smoke. Whenever you see a pal smoke one you want to join them. The social aspect of using tobacco can be a formidable element of dependency to cigarettes, but it is purely psychological. For anyone who is ready to make the psychological commitment to give up smoking once and for all, the quit smoking shot can take care of the other half of the problem, allowing you to realize your goal far more smoothly and without nearly as much withdrawal suffering.

A lot of ex-smokers and doctors suggest simply taking a five minute mental break before each and every cigarette each time you have a desire to smoke cigarettes. This is often enough time for you to assume control of your emotions, and not letting the strong desires having control over you. You have to be tough; addiction to cigarettes is really a very difficult devil but you can certainly put it away permanently.

Step by step, as you regain increasingly more control over your urges, you may raise the waiting period to greater than five minutes. Besides restraining your cigarette smoking to certain times during the day, and possibly merely on certain days, this mental strategy will slowly let you prevail over the psychological addiction to cigarettes. You'll find it a lot easier and easier to perform each day, and you'll restore mental strength each and every time, regardless of if you slip. Trust oneself, you are going to make it in the end. Utilize these tactics in conjunction with procedures used to overcome the physical addiction and your nicotine addiction will be long gone rapidly.

Trust me.

Recall the the most efficient technique to quitting smoking once and for all must rely on ridding your self of both the psychological and physical addictions that are involved in using cigarettes. What this implies is while the quit smoking shot could be the tool you need to end nicotine addiction, you still must be committed to stop mentally.

If taken over a long period of time nicotine can change the normal functioning of the brain. If the brain is addicted to nicotine, it takes it to be something it needs to function properly. To stop smoking is an action that will benefit your life almost instantly!

You will feel much better within yourself; you can save lots of money and if you're trying for a baby, your little bundle of joy will be much healthier than if you smoked! These are just three of many things that will happen if you stop smoking today. So the question is how? How do these things affect me?

Smoking affects your body in many ways but did you know that nicotine raises your blood pressure and that when you smoke your skin gets less oxygen?

Smoking puts you at more risk of developing mouth ulcers, cancer, gum disease and heart disease. It also clogs up your arteries and as a smoker; you are at more risk of dying from heart disease. And according to the NHS, 83 percent of deaths from lung cancer, bronchitis and emphysema are related to smoking.

And as well as your health, have you ever thought about the money you could save? Smoking around 20 a day means that cigarettes cost you around ฃ1,500 every year. That's the money you could be saving if you were to stop.

This big save each year could go towards a holiday or your baby (if you're trying for one). Stopping smoking can reduce the risk of stillbirth, cot death and miscarriage. And smoking whilst pregnant means that your unborn baby is inhaling what you inhale too so if you stop, you'll be helping your baby in the long term!

Stopping smoking benefits you, your child and your pocket. Although we know how, another question is when. Did you know that once you've stopped, your body benefits almost instantly! Within 20 minutes, changes begin to happen.

When you stop smoking, within the first 20 minutes, your blood pressure and pulse rate will return to normal.

It only takes eight hours for oxygen levels to return to normal. Within this timescale, nicotine and carbon monoxide levels in your blood reduce by around half.

And after 24 hours, the carbon monoxide will be completely eliminated from your body and the chance of a heart attack decreases.

So when you stop smoking, significant changes are already happening in a day!

After 48 days, the nicotine has completely left your body. And your taste and smell is enhanced.

Within 72 hours, you will notice a change in your breathing. It'll be easier for you breath as your bronchial tubes begin to relax and you'll feel like you have all the energy in the world as your energy levels increase.

On top of this, after 12 weeks of not smoking, your circulation would have improved and lung function is beginning to improve.

Within three to nine months, any issues you had with coughing, wheezing and breathing should be decreasing as lung function increases by up to ten percent. Your energy levels are also continuing to increase.

After five years of you not smoking though, your risk of suffering a heart attack is halved.

And after ten years, your risk of lung cancer falls to half that of a smoker. And the risk of heart attack falls to the same as somebody who has never smoked in their life.

To beat your addiction is a feat within itself and the benefits to your health are amazing. Evident from after just one day to ten years, your health is likely to be like somebody's who has never smoked before.

If how to stop smoking marijuana is a question you have been asking yourself for a while but have never found the answer then you may just be psychologically addicted to smoking pot. This is different to some other drug addictions which come with physical dependency and very painful withdrawal symptoms.

Those addicted to weed often continue doing so because of a small four letter word that has crippled many people's lives: FEAR!

This can come in many shapes and sizes but they are all designed by your subconscious to keep you hooked on a habit that is inhibiting you but you still do it because it is an easy crutch, an escape from reality and even when you know you need to quit smoking pot and know all of these things that first step is so hard to take when fear makes you go cold and makes your stomach roil and tie itself into knots.

Some people fear that they might fail when they give up pot, some fear they might lose social connections that might have been formed over a bong but one of the biggest things to hold back addicts is a fear of success.

Why would anyone fear success!

Well that is an interesting question and the simplest answer is that a fear of success is actually a fear of CHANGE and a fear of the UNKNOWN. People fear treading into places they have not been, what will it be like? How will I live my life without pot? How will I relax? Does this mean I have to be more responsible? If you travel down that path you can see how the mind and your addiction can twist your thoughts to say no... you don't want this even when deep down you know you must.

So what is the answer to overcoming these fears? Again a complex question with a million answers but there is one tip on how to stop smoking marijuana is to take a single step. Take a single action no matter how scary it is and get started, one single step will not bring the world crashing down. Make it an easy one, make it a simple one just do SOMETHING and do it TODAY!

Chantix is a type of an anti-smoking drug that has an effect that is very different from any other drugs of its type. Its main ingredient is Varenicline, which is a special kind of salt that has the capacity to directly work in the brain area. Research shows that the salt Varenicline works in the exact same way that nicotine does. Smokers, for a fact, get addicted to nicotine. And it is that substance which makes it harder for smokers to kick the habit by themselves.

Every time you smoke, nicotine is dispersed from the cigarette into the cells of your brain. And once it is there, it binds with the receptors and activates the pleasure cells. The pleasure that you derive from smoking is also the reason why your brain craves for cigarettes all the time. And if you heed that call, sooner or later, you'll get addicted to the substance.

But once Chantix had successfully replaced nicotine in your brain, you can slowly remove cigarette out of your system. Varenicline is believed to provide the body and the brain the same pleasure that nicotine provides. Therefore, your brain would reduce your craving for the substance less and less. At that point, it becomes easier for you to totally remove your harmful habit of smoking.

Chantix can block nicotine from binding with the brain receptors. This is how nicotine can be slowly eliminated from your body. Chantix keeps the same pleasure level that your brain gets from nicotine. But it is doing so with an entirely different substance that is not addictive at all.

By taking Chantix regularly, your brain thinks that it is getting a good round of nicotine. And so, it won't crave for it any longer. Your mind or your body won't long for cigarettes anymore. You just have to condition yourself not to give in to the temptation at the sight of a robust stick of cigarette. Keep in mind that Chantix is not a magic pill. You still have to exhibit will power in order to totally get over your smoking habit. Chantix simply makes the whole task of quitting a lot easier.

A person who is addicted to nicotine will find it hard to remove cigarettes out of his daily routines, and that's a given. Once your body starts to long for nicotine uncontrollably, it becomes very hard for you to suppress it. And if you try to stop smoking abruptly, withdrawal symptoms such as irritability, weight gain, depression, and mood swings will occur. These are the side effects you are bound to go through. And they could make it doubly hard for you to stop the habit.

It's good that Chantix was developed to help your body counter the effects of smoking, while making sure that you don't go through the withdrawal symptoms. As a prescription drug, doctors claim that it works best for people who are diagnosed to be smoking addicts. If you are one of them, try to talk to your doctor and find out whether or not Chantix would work for you.

Below you will find 10 of the hundreds of reasons one should stop smoking. Read through them all, and see how your life as a smoker would be different if you would quit smoking and start living a healthier life.

1. Bad Odor

Smoking carries with it a very unique odor, that will follow you everywhere. It saturates your clothes, hair, car, home and your breath. You reek of it all day long. No amount of mints or gum are going to get rid of that bad breath, let alone the amount of air freshener it takes to get your house and car back to smelling normal.

2. Lots more Wrinkles

You can always pick a smoker out of a crowd. Aside from the odor that is following them, they have more than 10 times the amount of wrinkles as a non-smoker. Not to mention the greyish pale skin, and yellow teeth and fingers.

3. Your Lungs fill with Toxic Substances

Okay maybe not quite toxic, but they do fill with phlegm, mucus and tar. As your lungs fill with these substances it reduces the amount of oxygen and nutrients between the tissues and bloodstream. Smokers also have a lot harder time breathing. Stop smoking and within 12 hours your lungs begin the healing process.

4. Are you Depressed?

Smokers are twice as likely to become depressed than non-smokers. So if you find yourself down in the dumps or always looking at the world negatively it could be from your daily nicotine intake.

5. Pricey

Have you ever stopped and figured up how much money you spend a week or a month on cigarettes. You might as well roll up six dollar bills, light em and let em burn everyday. Thats almost $2,000 every year, even more if you are paying seven to nine dollars for every pack of cigarettes. What if you smoked your entire life from age 18 til you die at age 65? Figure that up, at six dollars a pack, and one pack a day that is over $85,000, you just burnt a car or a house in some markets.

6. Want to have children?

When you smoke you lower the ability have children. If you a woman it makes it more and more difficult to become pregnant, and if you are a man it makes you infertile, and harder to get a woman pregnant. Not to mention the possibility of having erectile dysfunctions.

7. Problem Pregnancy

If you are pregnant, be prepared to have some difficulties with your pregnancy. Women who smoke during pregnancy are more likely to experience complicated pregnancies, where the fertilized egg begins to develop in the slender fallopian tube instead of the uterus. Because of your smoking, your baby may have a lower birth weight and birth defects too. You are also more likely to deliver prematurely or miscarry.

8. Bad Role Model

If you have children then you'll know what I mean. Children like to imitate their parents. So if mommy or daddy smoke, that makes it cool or ok to do. So be a good role model and stop smoking, if not for you, then for your children or the children you are around.

9. Second Hand Smoke

Not only is it a bad influence to smoke around others, but it kills them too. By the time you child is 5 years old they will have inhaled the equivalence of 102 packs of cigarettes. Children and adults who are exposed to second-hand smoke are at a higher risk of developing lung cancer and other respiratory problems, including shortness of breath, coughing and more phlegm.

10. Smokers Die Young

Smokers die a lot younger than non-smokers, studies have shown that one cigarette will take 7 minutes off your life. Not to mention the higher risk of heart attacks, respiratory problems, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and lung disease.

So I hope that after reading just some of the side effects smoking has on you and the ones you love you are ready to quit. If you are, there are plenty of resources out there for you.

Once you have quit smoking, one of the best methods to start feeling better in yourself is to remove tar from the lungs as soon as possible.

a) You will have much cleaner breathing.
b) Your cravings for cigarettes will subside much quicker because it's the toxins and tar in the lungs which is a contributing factor.
c) The damage to your lungs will begin to repair much sooner.
d) You will cough much less.
e) If you have developed a sore throat it will go sooner.
f) You will find it much easier to stay quit as you will actually see and feel that you are making progress.

I managed to quit smoking last year and was grateful to a good friend of mine for telling me to remove tar from the lungs using a lung detox as a means to help me quit for good.

It took around a week for the benefits to really show but when they did, boy what a feeling! I had completely forgotten just what it was like to take in a proper lung full of breath. Just the best feeling ever! I have even joined my local gym now and have begun playing Tennis with my wife.

It should be pointed out here that it wasn't pleasant detoxing my lungs for that week. I say it wasn't pleasant because you can actually taste and see all the tar coming out. When you remove tar from the lungs that has been gathering over the course of, in my case 10 years as a smoker, then there is a lot or tar to remove. It gathers in the structure of the lungs and just sits there releasing all kinds of toxins into the bloodstream. That's why it's important to remove it a s quickly as possible.

I read somewhere that if the body is left to remove the tar from the lungs naturally it can take between 10 or 12 years, which is why many ex smokers can still crave a cigarette even 10 years after smoking. In fact some even begin to smoke again years after they feel they have quit. I have been quit now for a year and have no cravings at all.

Good luck with staying quit and here's to a clean pair of lungs!

The benefits of quitting smoking cigarettes are many and all good. From improved health, to feeling better, to more money in your pocket there are so many great benefits you will realize from quitting smoking. Realizing this pretty much makes it a no brainer to stop smoking.

But how will you do it? After all quitting is hard, right? It is nearly impossible to break the powerful addiction to nicotine, correct? No and no. The truth is that quitting can be easier than you ever imagined once you know just how to go about doing it. Once you learn the secret to no longer smoke you can start enjoying the benefits of quitting smoking cigarettes today.

So many smoking cessation products focus on helping you to get over the physical addiction to nicotine. They will have you believe that in order to stop smoking you have to beat the physical dependence on nicotine. Unfortunately people who use products like the patch or smoking cessation medications do not enjoy a very high success rate or it takes them several attempts to finally stop smoking. And in many cases the results do not last very long and they start smoking again.

The problem is that most smoking cessation aids do not focus on the strongest addiction that smoking causes. I am referring to the psychological addiction to smoking that develops in smokers who have smoked for any period of time.

You see smoking becomes a way of life; a habit that works itself into the subconscious of smokers. They relate smoking to just about anything they do or feel. This creates a psychological addiction that goes well beyond the physical addiction to nicotine. The mental addiction is what causes people to experience cravings to smoke long after they have gotten over their physical dependence to nicotine.

And so here is the secret to quit smoking: remove the psychological addiction to smoking and quitting smoking becomes easy. You see once your subconscious desire to smoke is gone then you no longer experience cravings to smoke. The good news is that it is actually easy to remove the subconscious desire to smoke.

There is a smoking cessation technique that focuses on removing the psychological addiction to smoking just by listening to an audio recording. The recording it uses is specially formatted with NLP hypnotherapy suggestions. NLP stands for Neuro Linguistic Programming. It is a modern form of hypnotherapy that works wonders removing the cravings to smoke from the subconscious mind.

The benefits of quitting smoking cigarettes are gained by simply listening to this specially formatted NLP recording. It could not be easier to quit smoking than through this revolutionary new technique, and the key lies in the fact that it targets and removes the subconscious desire to smoke.

Because they are addicted to nicotine and smoke cigarettes every single day has become a habit and routine. The physical addiction to nicotine can go away with a week or two of quitting. Tips To Quit Smoking

When you're ready to quit smoking, you have a number of choices available to you. You can try to quit cold turkey, you can try using medication or hypnotherapy, you can use natural herbs or you can cut back the number you smoke, setting a final date when you will quit.

Five tips to quit smoking that might help you include:

#1 Cut down on the number of cigarettes you smoke in a day or a week, gradually working down to the day where you don't smoke anymore.

#2 Replace a cigarette with something you can bite on or chew on, such as a straw, a fake cigarette or even a pen; for many smokers having something in-between their fingers to raise to their mouth is most difficult to kick.

Quit Smoking Naturally

Quit smoking natural methods aren't all proven. Though herbs have been shown to reduce some of the effects, there is no definitive proof that they work. Other alternative forms have some science behind them and have started growing in popularity. If you want to quit using natural methods, you don't need to rely on quitting cold turkey if you want to do it without using drugs. Consider:

Hypnotherapy: This method uses hypnosis to reverse your thought process about smoking and about quitting, to help you succeed. A hypnotist will use this time to implant encouraging messages in your mind which will make you want to quit.

Acupuncture: If you're not afraid of needles, this is a second option. Needles will be injected at different parts of your body to restore your balance and cut down on withdrawal symptoms and curb cravings.

Lobelia: This herb is designed to reduce the effects of withdrawal by reducing mood swings and increasing feelings of pleasure.

Stop Smoking Using Medication

If you want stop smoking medication, there are dozens you can choose from and each has its pros and cons. Some that you might consider include:

Chantix: This drug blocks the effects of nicotine on your brain and was developed specifically to help people quit smoking. Chantix reduces the feelings of pleasure that nicotine has on your brain and reduces the effects of withdrawal. This is a physician-prescribed medication that has serious side effects, including sleep problems, constipation, gas and vomiting.

Zyban: Reduces the effects of withdrawal and nicotine cravings. It is also used to reduce depression. This medication must be prescribed by your physician. It has serious side effects, including dry mouth, difficulty sleeping, sore throat, dizziness, flatulence and constipation.

You can also use nicotine patches and gum to control your addiction. The patch is effective, but feeds your addiction by releasing small(er) amounts of nicotine into your skin.

Quit smoking medication doesn't work alone, nor is it completely effective. You need to persevere.

Benefits of Quitting Smoking

Cigarettes release hundreds of chemicals into your system, which do things to your body that can be harmful for years to come. Quitting smoking benefits range from emotional to health benefits. Even after a short amount of time, you can see stop smoking effects after only twenty minutes. Some benefits include:

After a week, your blood pressure and pulse rate return to normal, your nerve endings have started regrowing, your body is nicotine free and it's easier to breath. Your senses of taste and smell return to normal in this time, as well. You will still have cravings, which usually last for about three minutes.

After three months, your addiction is mostly under control and circulation to your teeth and gums has improved. Your risk of heart attack has dropped and any chronic cough has disappeared. Walking is easier.

After one year, sinus congestion, fatigue and shortness of breath from smoking have improved. Your risk of coronary heart disease has dropped to half of a smoker's.

After 15 years the quit smoking benefits include the risk of stroke has declined to a non-smoker's, your risk of tooth loss has declined and so has your heart disease risk.

There are also emotional benefits for quitting smoking, including a healthier self-image. Never look back.

Cigarette smoke is very dangerous. Whether you smoke first hand or are near second hand smoke, it all has negative effects on the body. Countless different researchers have confirmed the terrible effects that smoking has on your well-being, and especially on the bodies of people who have smoked for a long time. Smoking bans are now in effect in many nations across the world. What more do you have to be aware of in order to stop? For one, the addiction is very expensive, will ruin your teeth, and makes your clothes smell terrible. And don't disregard the atrocious breath! Here are a few ideas to help you quit smoking.

First, you need to find out why you smoke. Is anxiety a trigger for you to light up? Is having a smoke with your coffee or an alcoholic drink often mandatory for you? Identifying precisely what compels you to smoke is enormously effective in shaping a course of action to steer away from cigarettes.

Next, you will need to think of how to manage your cravings. You can try to merely tell yourself not to light up, but that usually doesn't work. Cigarette withdrawal can generate incredibly intense urges and may even cause you to be angry. If you smoke while you down coffee, a possible solution is to reduce the quantity of cups you consume each day. For outside-only smokers, you need to try to stay put inside if you feel an urge for a cigarette coming on.

The third step might be the easiest. Clear any item you have that is associated to smoking away from your home, car and office. Throw away the packs of smokes, lighters, and ashtrays. You must keep in mind that any article related to smoking that is not trashed can prompt a craving, and cause you to be unsuccessful in your bid to stop smoking.

As a final point, keep focused on your purpose! Wouldn't it feel impressive to show people you stopped?

The recent tax increase on cigarettes is very likely to prompt a lot of people to stop smoking. Cigarettes are over eight dollars a pack in some areas. If you smoke a pack a day, that would cost you $2920 per year. You could take a pretty nice vacation with that kind of money.

Aside from the cost, there are dozens of reasons to kick the habit. They age you prematurely, they stink, they kill you prematurely. The power of nicotine is amazing. All the negative points about smoking, and people have such a hard time kicking the habit.

There is one excellent way to kick the habit that works for nearly every person that tries it

Forget the patches! Forget the sprays! Forget the pills! Forget the nicotine gums! Forget the methods that fail more times than not!

There is a method that has proven to get 99.7 percent of smokers to quit for at least one month (over 5000 people tested). The fall out rate is very, very small. Of the original 5000, 97.2 percent of them have not smoked in over six months. That is a pretty astonishing success rate, right?

The method that has proven to work so well for so many people is called NLP or Neuro Linguistic Programming. It works so well, it has been dubbed the best way to stop smoking. NLP is a form of psychotherapy that can easily be applied to folks that are struggling to quit. This is one of those times where you actually want to be one of the statistics. In other words, it is time to be one of the 97.2 percent of people that easily make it six months without smoking. There is no better time than the present to get started, right?

If you smoke, STOP NOW! Smoking is one of the most injurious things that you can do to your body. It is one of the main causes of several serious diseases including, but not limited to cancer, stroke, and heart disease. However, the positive effect of not smoking can be felt within 24-hours of quitting. So, why won't you stop smoking and better your health? The answer is that smoking is addictive. It's addictive both physiologically and psychologically. The physiological addition is similar to that of cocaine and heroin. Nicotine stimulates the pleasure centers in the brain causing both pleasure and stimulation. Also, depending on the amount of nicotine inhaled, smoking may also cause relaxation, and the relief of stress. The Psychological addition occurs when you identify smoking with certain aspects of your life, such as smoking for relaxation while driving, after a meal and while talking on the telephone. Not smoking during these situations results in powerful cravings. Therefore, it is easy to say you will stop smoking, but it's a much harder thing to do.
