Aren't you tired of the crazy claims people have made about what smoking method might be best for them? Supposed customers give some testimony and they say you can quit just like they did. They usually come with claims of 100% success, don't they? Well, if they're so good then why are there still smokers in the world. I mean if this method was so great, then why isn't it on CNN or why aren't doctors telling their patients about it? The answer is pretty simple. There is no "easy way" to smoking abstinence. There is no "100% guaranteed" way to stop. Many people have lost a ton of money thinking the latest and greatest was the answer to all their smoking problems.

Here are the facts. Quit rates for the observed and studied methods for smoking cessation are as follows:

Cold Turkey - 3-5%
Nicotine replacement - 7-10%
Zyban - between 7-10%
Chantix - around 21%
Support/counseling - roughly 25%

You can see why so many people are trying to sell you on stop smoking shots or elixirs. The quit rates are just so low. Add acupuncture (with and without the laser) and hypnosis into the mix and you still don't have much to hang your hat on. There are no clinical studies that tell us what these more holistic approaches are, but the best thought is, that it is somewhere around that of quitting cold turkey. Although, some practitioners of these arts may have more or less success than others.

The market for these methods has never been stronger. Despite all the tobacco law suits and bad press about manipulating or fixing nicotine levels to maintain the addiction, 20% of all Americans continue to smoke. Of those who do quit, roughly one-third will relapse within four years of quitting. Additionally, it takes most smokers about 7 attempts before they finally do quit for good. Finally, most every person who smokes considers quitting at least during some point or another. These are the details that many marketers are trying to capitalize on. They see this as an opportunity to promote their new and improved or herbal and natural method to stop smoking.

As we all know, if someone's desire is strong enough they may very well have success. So if someone has tried everything else and failed, they may try something non-traditional like a natural herbal concoction or some fictitious stop smoking shot. It isn't the method that allows these people to finally quit, but rather the smoker's mind simply takes over. This is called the placebo effect and it can be a powerful player in the medical community.

If a person's desire to quit is strong enough, then just about any quit smoking method will probably work - even the unproven ones. Heck, they might even quit after drinking 10 gallons of orange juice for 15 consecutive days, if they were told that would guarantee cessation. The power of suggestion can have supreme influence over the intellect if given the chance.

Remember, everyone's addiction, physiology and behavioral cues are different. Just because someone is successful or fails because of a certain method, doesn't mean you'll have the same result. Tailor a stop smoking method that is right for you.

Numerous people recommend that stop smoking hypnosis therapy be used in conjunction with other stop smoking methods such as nicotine replacement stop smoking products like the patch or nicotine gum. This type of therapy will dramatically reduce the side effects of nicotine withdrawal, such as the cravings, depression and anxiety. By treating these depressive symptoms while also reducing nicotine cravings, medication smoking stop treatment has proven to be highly productive in helping individuals to quit cigarettes.

Both of these stop smoking cigarettes aids work to boost your endorphin levels, giving you a high of sorts that blocks some of the nicotine cravings that make people begin smoking again. The patch is just a patch that you apply everyday that delivers a stable amount of nicotine into your system. If you are interested in nicotine interchange methods to help quit cigarettes, you might consider purchasing the patch or nicotine gum.

Another thing that will increase the success possibilities, is that you supplement your plan with some substitution system as chewing gums, nicotine patches or antidepressants (if the doctor prescribes them). The nicotine is an addictive drug, and as every drug it generates dependence and it enslaves the smoker for the rest of his life. Women with PMS should try not to quit before their menses as it can increase nicotine withdrawal.

This is due to the nicotine or more precisely, the dose of nicotine as well as other factors. Even after you get over the nicotine habit, then there is the psychological issues such as what to do with your hands all the time. This keeps the person in a balanced state and minimizes the craving for cigarette as the dosage of nicotine is reduced gradually.

Cigarette

There have been many studies that have shown that cigarette smoking is as hard to break as a cocaine addiction. Many people say that after the shot their cigarette desire simply disappears. However, once you put a cigarette in your mouth, you will have to start again from the beginning.

You love the first cigarette of the day, with your tea or coffee at these times gargle with mouthwash and clean your teeth. It won't be you standing outside your own office block having a quick puff and it won't be you about whom your colleagues complain when you take a cigarette break, although no one else gets to leave their desk at that time. When you go to work, it will no longer be you who needs to be escorted outside for a cigarette when visiting another company's premises.

People at this stage think that they can control it now and that the odd cigarette once in a while won't do any harm and that they will not become addicted again. Smokers should be aware that every cigarette takes an average of 11 minutes off your life, and smokers having excess of 20 a day are 20 times more likely to die from some form of cancer and twice as likely to die of heart disease. The cigarette companies have been using psychology and hypnotic induction techniques to get you addicted to their products for many years without you even knowing it.

Despite the decades of scientific and medical research proving beyond doubt the deadly effects of cigarette smoking, the number of existing smokers, and people taking up smoking, is still at incredulous levels.

Weight

However, my weight battered my confidence and self-esteem levels, rendering that kind of social interaction almost impossible. And if anyone else in the world wishes to lose weight and keep it off, they will eventually learn that they have to do it the natural way. Join a fitness program if you fear weight gain.

Those who have solely trained in stopping smoking (sometimes they will have trained in weight control and stress management too). Over the years, the weight gain and stop smoking connection has been greatly exaggerated. Even though you gain weight after stop smoking, if you ask yourself a question like "What would you rather deal with, a few extra pounds of weight or cancer?" which one you choose?

The question on every smoker's yellowing lip will always be "Is there an easy way to quit smoking?" The instant answer to that would be yes, as there is a mountain of anecdotal evidence to suggest it is possible. There are millions of smokers who can testify that they packed in a long-term habit overnight, and never desired another cigarette again. The real question then, is how did they do it?

The answer is simple: if you wish to quit smoking easily, then you need to change your mindset. After years of smoking, your brain will be configured to believe that smoking is an integral part of you. As a former smoker myself, I know full well just how emotionally connected the smoker is to the cigarette, and this is something non-smokers often overlook. It's not just a question of willpower - it's about being able to sever the emotional links we have with the habit.

The fact is that nicotine is one of the least physically addictive drug substances out there. We can sleep for eight hours every night without our body waking us up in a cold sweat to smoke. Although this sounds like a big claim to make, the amount of anecdotal evidence mentioned earlier should be testament to this. The smoking habit is not the nicotine habit - it is the psychologically addictive habit.

The easy way to quit smoking is to shake up the beliefs you associate with smoking. It's not enough to simply say it's bad for your health, because that is a rational fact. Smoking breeds irrational, emotional attachments, and it is those attachments which you have to perceive in a different way. No smoker is going to argue that smoking is good for their health, but many will claim that a cigarette helps them relax. Do you see the difference? Smokers have more irrational beliefs than they would think.

This calls upon a great deal of introspection. Head to the pub with a notepad and pen and start writing about how you feel about smoking. Compare smoking to a girlfriend or boyfriend, if you will, because that's the level of emotional attachment most smokers will feel towards the habit. Start assessing how you feel about smoking and make a list of all the positives you feel smoking brings to your life. Then try to detach yourself and question these "positives".

Ultimately, if you want an easy way to stop smoking, then you need to realise that all that is really required is the re-wiring of your brain. You do not need gum, patches or any other gimmick. Such gimmicks only maintain your emotional attachment to the habit without the actual physical side-effect, but that is not enough. You need to beat both the physical attachment and, particularly, the emotional attachment. If I can do it, then so can you.

According to scientific research and field studies hypnosis has been proven to be the most effective long term method of quitting smoking. According to studies in America and Europe, hypnosis is over 3 times more successful in helping you quit compared to forms of nicotine replacements and at least 15 times more effective than will power alone.

81% of smokers report they have stopped smoking after using self-hypnosis. Studies have also proven smokers using hypnosis are twice as likely to remain smoke free for at least 2 years or more compared to smokers that have tried quitting on their own or have tried other techniques to stop smoking.

Quitting smoking shouldn't be an unpleasant or difficult experience if it is something that you really want to do. Self hypnosis can be a very relaxing experience, it can allow you to loosen up and help ease your tensions. It is a productive way to de-stress and some even use it as a meditation technique. This is especially important for someone trying to beat the cravings of lighting up that one last cigarette. Sometimes fighting the urge can become so stressful to handle without help from an outside source.

Hypnosis re-trains your brain by offering suggestions and positive affirmations to your subconscious which helps mentally prepare you for the challenge of quitting smoking. It focuses on the emotional and psychological aspects of quitting smoking, not like other methods that only focus on the physical aspect. Delving deep into exactly why you want or need that nicotine hit is the best way to kill your addition for good and not just cover it with a different hit of nicotine.

Self hypnosis has been proven to be most effective in helping to stop smoking after at least 4 sessions or more. Over 90% of smokers report they have successfully quit after a minimum of 6 sessions. The more sessions you have the more chance you have of killing the nicotine addiction and changing your life forever.

The best part is that you can do the hypnosis sessions at a time and place that suits you. If you can't spare the time during the day, there are night time sessions available. Self hypnosis speaks to your subconscious if you are awake or drifting off to sleep.

So if you are seeking to quit smoking, then self hypnosis is well worth a try. The cost of a few sessions is minimal compared to the cost on your health and dent in your wallet if you continue to smoke and support your habit. By focusing on the reason for your smoking addiction and not just replacing it with another medication you will be much more likely to quit for good.

If you have ever tired to give up smoking you will know that it's harder than most other things in life. For me it felt like the cigarettes where calling to me with the volume set to 11 and that is why I found self hypnosis stop smoking tricks such a massive aid.

TWO BIG REASONS WHY PEOPLE SMOKE

1. Addiction - in fact this is only a little hunger in your belly that starts to go after a couple of days.

2. Brian washing - this is the BIG one. Have you ever tried to give up then gone to a party and failed. That is because you have been brainwashed into thinking that you cannot have a good time without smoke and that thought is terribly depressing.

These two forces combined make a very powerful urge to keep smoking. But when someone is diagnosed with cancer they are able to stop easily. Why?

Because now they have a great reason...

THE FIRST STEP BEFORE SELF HYPNOSIS IS CREATING A MASSIVE DESIRE TO QUIT.

The reason that self hypnosis works so well is that it lets you give up using the cold turkey method.

This is massive....

Without doubt the cold turkey method is they key to anyone giving up fast. The reason for that is once you stop smoking and taking nicotine completely the cravings will ease in a matter of days.

If you tease yourself with patches or gum for months you will always have that little desire and it could bubble over at any time.

So once you go for the cold turkey method you just need to beat those times when you had a deep habit and enjoyment for smoking.

HOW CAN SELF HYPNOSIS HELP?

The key to self hypnosis in helping you with the cold turkey method is that it builds your confidence in being able to go without those most enjoyed cigarettes.

You work every day on the habits and things get a lot easier.

You can forget about binge eating and being crabby because those symptoms won't be their with self hypnosis.

The thing that really helped me when I wanted a cigarette more than anything else was to listen through to my self hypnosis CD a few times before lighting up. Every single time I did this the craving would go and it helped me get through some tight spots.

A good hypnosis CD can help you beat that little monster inside trying to rob you of life.

When it comes to giving up smoking the natural way, cold turkey is a viable option. Another equally viable option is hypnosis which has proven to be an effective means of quitting. Yet another option is to try a combination of the two methods.

DEFINING COLD TURKEY:

Cold turkey is defined as "quitting smoking abruptly, without help." Most people find that getting some help along the way makes the transition from smoker to non-smoker that much smoother.

Cold turkey is a popular way to stop smoking however the failure rate is 80 percent or higher. That means you have a 1-in-5 chance of being successful. As many as 50 percent of all smokers attempt the cold turkey method as a starting off point when quitting.

Experts will be the first to tell you that the method you choose to quit smoking is not as important as how determined you are to succeed. If your determination is high then you are already off to a great start!

PREPARE YOURSELF FOR A NON-SMOKING MINDSET:

The majority who make the decision to give up smoking need all the support they can get. But that is not all they need. An effective plan for quitting is also essential to your success.

Making a detailed plan to quit and deciding on a schedule for yourself is imperative. Inform everyone in your life that you are about to become a quitter. Mentally plan and prepare yourself for what is to come - such as when cravings for a cigarette take hold of your thoughts. You need to know what to do in order to avoid situations that will make you want to light up.

One way to chart your progress as you navigate your new non-smoking terrain is to buy a diary and then record what is happening on a daily basis. In order to change your lifestyle habits you must be completely committed to adopting a new and healthier non-smoking mindset.

Cold turkey can work for you if you devote yourself fully to it. However you may discover that you need a little extra help along the way. That is where hypnosis can step in.

TAKING THE NATURAL APPROACH WITH HYPNOSIS:

The human mind is very diverse and complicated. It is also very covert and adept at hiding its innermost secrets. Hypnosis works to shed light on the secrets that remain hidden in the darkness of the subconscious mind. It is this part of the mind that holds the reins of control over our habits. This is where the smoking habit remains in hiding.

The subconscious mind makes habits a regular and routine part of your life. It does not distinguish between good and bad habits. The work of hypnosis is to travel into the subconscious mind and replace negative habits with positive habits that can allow for a happier and healthier life.

Hypnosis can be instrumental in assisting an individual to quit smoking and to maintaining their newly acquired non-smoking ideals by directly communicating with the subconscious in a manner that is both safe and effective. All the patient needs to do is to relax and have the desire to quit and the belief that hypnosis will help.

Hypnosis does not involve any medications and is good for those who have tried other methods of stop smoking but have been disappointed with the results.

Whether you chose to try cold turkey, hypnosis or both, bear in mind that stopping smoking is a process that will need your full and serious commitment as at the end of the day it is your decision.

Many people have heard of the cold turkey quit smoking method but where does the phrase 'cold turkey' actually come from? Well, it is thought to be a description of the withdrawal effects that heroine addicts must endure when they stop using. One of these withdrawal symptoms is a cold sweat leading to goose pimples on a clammy skin. It's about the same a cold turkey before it goes in the oven at thanksgiving (without the butter of course!).

The origins of the phrase cold turkey also underline the extreme physical pain associated with heroine withdrawal. It is such a powerful drug (hence all the social problems it causes) that it leaves addicts with severe physical side effects when not taken. This extreme is erroneously transferred into the smokers' mind when using the cold turkey quit smoking method. Quitting smoking is nowhere near as painful!

Personally, I define the cold turkey quit smoking method as any method that does not employ the use of drugs or physical aids or 'crutches' to support the smoker. By this I mean the likes of nicotine replacement therapy (patches, gum, lozenges, spray etc.), chantix, zyban or any herbal treatment, fake cigarettes or aversion therapies.

I do consider things like cognitive behavioural therapy and hypnotherapy to fall into the cold turkey quit smoking method because they do not condone the use of drugs to try and assist the smoker. They condone the power of the mind to overcome the problem of nicotine addiction.

In the case of acupuncture and laser therapy, there is little evidence that these methods work and they both require physical interference. Anecdotally of course, there are many ex-smokers that used these methods but studies have shown no improvement in quit rates when compared to cold 'turkeyers'.

Hypnotherapy and cognitive behavioural therapy are both cold turkey quit smoking methods that are known to be effective. Cognitive behavioural therapy is a means of changing your thinking (cognition) and behaviour to a specific event, habit or aspect of life.

Unlike the classic cold turkey "lock-yourself-in-a-room-and-suffer" method of quitting smoking, hypnotherapy and cognitive behavioural therapy work by dealing with smokers' mental perceptions of smoking.

In the case of hypnotherapy as a cold turkey quit smoking method, the smoker may be 'taught' to respond to cravings for cigarettes by thinking about a pleasant time in their life to get over the craving. The smoker may also be 'taught' to dislike smoking. Many people successfully quit smoking using hypnosis but many fail too.

In the case of cognitive behavioural therapy, smokers are presented with a whole new view on smoking. It is a system by which the hugely complicated psychological trap of smoking, is broken down into bite-size pieces. Each piece of the trap is then dismantled, leaving smokers with little choice but to quit of their own free will.

Unlike the classic cold turkey quit smoking method, smokers who quit using cognitive behavioural therapy often report knowing that they have quit and that they will never smoke again. It is not the same with hypnotherapy or acupuncture or laser therapy.

I am of course a proponent of cognitive behavioural therapy. When I stopped smoking using this method, it was an epiphany. It was like my eyes had been opened after years in the darkness. The moment I stopped I knew I would never have another cigarette and it was a hugely liberating experience. However, it is not the same for everyone and there is no 'one-size-fits-all' method for quitting smoking.

Generally, my advice to all smokers is to try any and every method to find the one that works for them. There are many ways to get off cigarettes and the cold turkey quit smoking method is just one of them.

Spending money on money-back guaranteed systems first is the best approach because if that system doesn't work, you can get your cash back and move onto the next. If it does work, it will be money well spent. But my final and most important piece of advice to any would be quitter is to never give up trying to quit, no matter how soul destroying the process seems.

The health hazard label on every cigarette pack is very clear. Yet there are millions of people who know it and still continue putting their health at risk. Everyone knows smoking is not healthy. Because of it's addictive nature few have the motivation to fight the uphill battle to give up the "smokes".

Although a countless number of people can be seen addicted to this, there are still some who are willing to quit smoking. This can be rather difficult, especially because of the unpleasant cravings they get and also the nicotine withdrawal symptoms. Quit smoking aids are necessary during such situations in order to reduce the cravings and addictions.

The advantage of living in a world with high technology and having a globalized market is that a wide variety of quit smoking aids can be easily found. Some of the most commonly used quit smoking aids can be stated as nicotine gum, nicotine patches, lozenges, inhalers, medications, hypnosis and herbal remedies, nicotine nasal sprays, etc.

Not everyone can use nicotine patches or gum as it will not work the same way. It varies from one another. Quit smoking aids help a person stop their unhealthy habit of smoking and also relieving them the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal.

Some of the noted quit smoking aids in the market have been stated as Zyban and Chantix. Zyban is not advised to be used by everyone although it is known to reduce the discomforts associated with nicotine withdrawal. There are some who have made an effort, yet have been unsuccessful in quitting smoking. For individuals like that, Zyban has been the answer as a means to stop smoking once and for all. There have been certain side-effects linked to the drug that include having a dry mouth, dizziness, migraine headaches, insomnia and a change in appetite.

Chantix is another quit smoking aid that many use today. Using this has helped reduce the level of satisfaction that many smokers used to derive in the past and also minimize the nicotine withdrawal symptoms. People who use Chantix find it an easy, painless process of supporting their goal of quitting smoking. The pleasure of smoking melts down and as a result, they become reluctant to take another puff.

What if there is a better way that does not involve drugs, patches or will power? If their was a magic pill then smoking would be drastically reduced in our country. There is not one. However, I've stumbled upon a treatment that is proving to be very successful. It is laser treatment for smoking cessation. Cold Laser Stop Smoking Therapy is a non invasive holistic procedure. It has been used in Europe successfully for 30 years with an 85% success rate. The laser treatment is applied on several external points and stimulates nerve endings underneath the skin on the ears, face, and hands. It works with the meridians in the body bringing balance to organs that may not be functioning at optimal levels. The Laser stimulates the release of endorphins which work on relief of stress and pain in our system, producing a feeling of well-being. The only drawback I can see is that you can't do this at home. You must go to a local laser treatment center. So, before you give up on being able to stop smoking give some thought and do your research on this nontraditional treatment for smoking cessation.

Is ready to quit cigarette smoking? Terrifying. There may be tons of different ways to quit smoking cigarettes. One of them is to go it alone and end up cold turkey. Basically you just decide to quit and do not use any additional aid to help you through the process. This particular method might work, but usually ends up spoiling for many individuals.

The additional choice is to use stop smoking aids as an alternative to cigarettes. You'll find two common approaches to do so. One is to use nicotine gum and the other way is to use nicotine patches. These solutions work, but there is a downside. You're still putting nicotine in your system.

But there is a much better choice!

You can find tablets and sprays can be used to replace nicotine with a normal solution which basically makes your body think that nicotine is always whenever it is not really. The reason for these work well because they assist come out cigarettes without all withdrawals, and at the same time, you're not putting nicotine in your system. Literally is the perfect solution.

Now not all stop smoking cigarette solutions can do this kind of thing and not all of them are great. You should ensure you do your own research before deciding. But, as an alternative to other methods, it can work for you. Questions to make sure you are certain harmful effects and always consult a doctor for advice if in doubt.

The stuff that we see on the popular media about people who have quit smoking is sometimes romanticized or worse, glamorized in order to perk the interest of the public. However, in order to quit smoking, stop the nicotine addiction or eradicate tobacco dependence, a smoker has to undergo several failures first and none of them can ever be considered romantic or glamorous.

Shaking off any form of addiction can be quite tedious, and yes, there are many instances where the person falls back into the habitual indulgence. However, for a person determined to quit smoking, stop being controlled by tobacco products and lead a healthy lifestyle, these failures can all be taken in stride.

The key to stop smoking is to continue working towards the ultimate goal of quitting altogether and in this case, lose the tobacco dependence permanently. Here are some unusual tips on how to quit smoking and stop the tobacco addiction altogether.

1. Write down the exact moments when you really feel the need to light up or you actually find a cigarette (cigar) between your lips. For starters, you could do a one day report. However, if you can make this a 7 day report, then so much the better.

This will take dedication and honesty on your part since this little activity entails you to be as detailed as possible. Most likely, you will find yourself looking at a long list of incidences and we are quite sure that this far more than you will ever anticipate.

Even 'light' smokers who claim that they only smoke occasionally find themselves surprised at just how much they puff on a daily basis. This is a far better gauge on how much you really smoke than counting how many cigarettes you have left in your pack.

2. Now, if you have completed your list, try to distinguish the reason why you find yourselves smoking at that particular time. Some people light up early to ease the coughing fits they have in the morning. Others smoke while waiting endlessly for the bus or the train. Most smokers would begin the habit after-meals or during a stressful situation. These are just some of the more common examples. If you are going to do your list, try to be as detailed and honest as possible.

3. When you have the time and the reason behind each puff, you may want to find other alternative 'actions' as opposed to smoking. You can use nicotine patches if you really feel the need for the chemical splurge. However, it should be noted that these patches only work for a small percentage of people. In fact, some of those who were trying to quit ended up having both nicotine patches and a lighted cigarettes on them.

Many people find some sort of 'comfort' with the 'actions' prior to smoking such as tapping the pack, putting the cigarette between the lips and finally lighting it. To some successful smoke quitters, they replace these set of actions with something that is totally different and more rigorous.

One man, I know of, would reach for a clicker, and clicked his way through until the 'need' to light up has passed. A lady friend of mine would grab pots and pans instead, preferring to make a culinary treat as opposed to standing outside smoking. Another one would make the motions of putting out a cigarette in order to convince himself that he had just finished one stick.

Whatever it is, you need to find a set of actions that work best for you; and continue performing these actions until you no longer have the need to really light up. You can use nicotine patches as an aid to help you get by, but use these sparingly and only when the need is hard to overcome. As you have read, to quit smoking, stop being reliant on tobacco products and stay healthy, you need quite a bit of strategies and approaches. It will take time but slowly and surely, you will be able to break your old habit.

Cigarette smoke contains numerous health hazards! No matter how you inhale cigarette smoke will be negatively impacted either first or second hand, your body as a result. Countless other researchers have demonstrated that the terrible effects that smoking has on your health and especially on the bodies of people who have smoked for a long time. Anti-smoking laws are in countries all over the world will be implemented. What should I know to stop? It costs much causes bad smell clothes too and destroyed teeth. Your breath is also evil. Here are some simple ideas that quit smoking.

First of all, you need to find out why you smoke. Smoke if you are stressed? Is a smoke with caffeine or a drink often obligatory for you? Identify what drives to smoke is very effective in determining how to keep smoking.

So it must follow to identify a method for these cravings, check. I don't have your spirit cigarette, this method is not always effective. Nicotine withdrawal can enormously strong instincts and can even cause they are angry. If you turn on normally with a cup of coffee, you start the cups that are used every day. For cigarette smokers only outdoors must try to stay, if you feel that the desire for a cigarette case.

The third step is quite simple. Find all articles with the smoke in your home and your car and clean it. Discard your lighters, ashtrays and cigarettes.
