Most smokers who are looking to quit are skeptical of both the safety and the effectiveness of the quit smoking shot. They wonder if a shot can really halt their craving for nicotine and help them to quit smoking for good. Well the good news is that many who have tried a stop smoking injection report that they have experienced long lasting relief from both the physical and psychological effects of withdrawal from nicotine and are no longer addicted to cigarettes.

The quit smoking shot works by blocking the brain's nicotine receptors, thus relieving the smokers physical symptoms of nicotine withdrawal and eventually ending his addiction altogether. Some commonly available stop smoking shots include Welpex, the Smart Shot and Quit 123. Whichever brand you choose, all must be administered by a doctor.

Welpex makes use of atropine and scopolamine in combination as ingredients. Individually, atropine is typically administered by eye doctors during eye exams to dilate their patients' pupils, while scopolamine is a substance found in prescription motion sickness drugs. Welpex is typically administered in a series of three shots.

The Smart Shot is generally seen as an improvement over Welpex for a couple of reasons. First of all, it only needs to be administered once to be effective. Secondly, it replaces atropine with atarax, a well known antihistamine.

Newest of all is the Quit 123, which not only treats the smoker's physical addiction to nicotine, but also addresses the psychological component of nicotine addiction. It does so by providing ongoing support and coaching to help keep you free from smoking.

Clinical studies demonstrates the effectiveness of the Quit 123 stop smoking injection. In a trial made up of 500 smokers, greater than 70% reported that they were still smoke free six months after receiving the quit smoking shot. And more than 85% reported being smoke free two months after receiving the injection.

It is clear from both clinical trials and the testimonies of many satisfied users that the quit smoking shot is one of the most effective ways to quit smoking for good. It is proving to be far more effective than traditional nicotine replacement aids like nicotine patches and chewing gums in helping smokers to kick their habit. If you have attempted to quit in the past only to fail time and time again, maybe it's time to give the stop smoking injection a try.

If you are trying to decide whether or not the stop smoking injection is right for you, the first thing you need to do is speak with your doctor. He or she will be able to inform you about the different treatment options that are available to you and will be able to guide you in making a wise choice. For many smokers who are looking to quit, especially those who have used other methods but without any success, the quit smoking shot may be just the thing they need.
