If you have been on the edge about using hypnosis to quit smoking, I want to forewarn you on the 2 reasons why most people fail to quit smoking when using this method or any other stop-smoking method available.

The first reason that people fail to quit smoking is...
They believe that it's going to be hard and difficult to quit! With this belief and mindset they are already defeating themselves before they even start. Think about those gigantic task we have in our lives. The things we think will take the most mental energy to face. Sometimes it's the thought of facing it that robs us of more mental energy than actually facing the task.

So before throwing in the towel with the whole "It will just be too hard to quit speech" think about how much stress that your so-called stress-reliever pack of cigarettes are causing you in the first place.

The second reason why so many people fail to quit smoking is because...
They do not have a good enough reason to quit smoking. We all know that smoking is extremely bad to one's health and can ultimately lead to lung cancer. But what about the benefits of not smoking. The liberty and freedom that comes with it.

Take some time and make a list of all the benefits you think you will have in your life if you quit smoking. Think about the increase health. The years you have just added to your life, the confidence and glow that you would have, the increased confidence and self esteem. Finally being able to get sound sleep at night.

Take that list and place it where you will see it every morning and every night. In the bathroom mirror, on the refrigerator, a sticky note on those pack of cigarettes if you really want some cool points.

Marijuana has several names. If you hear the word cannabis, pot, grass, roach, joint, hashish, ganja, hemp, maui wowie, panama red, ragweed and weed, they all refer to marijuana. Marijuana is one of the most widely used illegal drugs, not only in the US but all over the globe.

In our society today, people from ages 13 and above are the most common abusers of marijuana. Experts say that marijuana can lead to psychological addiction. Clearly, people are abusing marijuana because they enjoy the feeling of euphoria which is generally observed after two or three hours of smoking. Another visible effect of smoking weed is a significant change in affect and emotion. Abusers often feel happy and relaxed. Similarly, they become very sensitive to humor, arts and most especially to music. These pleasant feelings, besides from bandwagon effect and peer pressure, are what tempting people to be addicted to marijuana.

On the contrary, there are effects of marijuana that are very harmful to the users and these are often overlooked. As marijuana abusers are only aware of the satisfaction they get from smoking but are completely unaware of the bad effects of it. Knowing these harmful side effects of marijuana will give abusers the reasons to stop abusing this drug.

So why should people stop smoking weed?

For Health Reasons
Smoking marijuana can cause temporary distortion of perception of the users which subsequently disrupts memory. Hence, leads to anxiety or panic attacks.

Furthermore, the abuse of this drug can cause significant lowering of blood pressure. At the same time, it increases the heart rate which leads to increase incidence of heart attack.

Experts say that one joint of marijuana is equivalent to one pack of cigarette. Just imagine how much damage marijuana can do to the lungs and throat of the abusers.

In addition, experts found out that abusers of this drug are likely to have impaired immune system predisposing them to many health care problems.

For Co-Curricular and Academic Reasons
Athletes who used to perform very well in sports are beginning to show trouble with coordination after marijuana abuse. The alteration of the brain activity particularly the coordination of the body is caused by the rapid lost of neurons in the brain due to chemicals found in the marijuana.

Moreover, researches showed that people, mostly teenagers who abuse marijuana tend to have poor performance in school. They are slow to response and hardly remember things. Memorization can be a great concern. They also have difficulties in sustaining attention, registering and processing information.

For Social Reasons
People who smoked this drug, regularly have red bloodshot eye that lasts within two to three hours. This makes them shy and aloof in the crowd and sometimes they only mingle with people who are marijuana addicts too.

Moreover, marijuana abusers seem to have lack of motivation and have no desire to work. They have a lack of concern regarding on how they look, behave and they do not care of the things happening around them. In connection, these attitudes and behaviors of the users are developed due to the psychoactive effects of marijuana. Users are used to pleasurable feeling they get after smoking marijuana.

Marijuana is restricted in many countries because it poses several dangers to the abusers. The things mentioned above are just some of the most obvious reasons to stop smoking weed. It is important to educate people regarding the dangers of marijuana. Teenagers should be the top priority, since they are in the stage wherein they are willing to try almost anything just to gain respect and acceptance from people around them.

So why should we quit smoking and go through weeks of cravings? To protect our health and boost our lung power right? It seems like an obvious question with a straightforward answer but it is a very good idea to write down all the benefits of becoming a non smoker before you start stopping, and have your list close to hand for those trying times, because there will be trying times, wo mamma!

Money to burn: using cigarettes is a very costly habit. Of course it doesn't seem so bad when it is an individual purchase, a few pounds or dollars, but if you had all the money you spent in a year on smoking in your hands at one time, say for example between two and three thousand pounds, I very much doubt anyone would wish to hand over that money to a faceless company and in return all you get back is a rasping cough and lungs like wet toilet paper. Think about that for moment or three... It's utter lunacy!

The zombie factor: we all know that smoking is bad for our bodies and by extension our minds to because after a while we begin to worry about our health to. I'm not going to go over all the different smoking related illnesses that eventually turn you into a walking corpse, I'm sure you have heard them all before but let's be honest, no one (almost no one) wants to die, especially not in their early forties because of a habit they don't even like anymore! Saving your health is the best reason I can think of to stop smoking.

Get out! In most major cities now smokers almost need their own personal bat cave to retreat to before they spark up. I don't believe that anyone should be persuaded into a blizzard with a pitchfork pressed against their spine just because they smoke, but non smokers are becoming less and less tolerant of people smoking. And they are right, no one should have to suffer because of another persons bad habit.

The stink: I don't believe anyone likes the smell of smoke and stale smoke is worse, it isn't going to win you any medals on the dating circuit. Of course after you have been smoking for a year or two you don't notice it that much anymore, but you can still hear the murmurs of "here comes stinky" as you approach the water cooler... For shame!

So there are four good reasons to quit, money, health, alienated and the smell. It's definitely worth writing them down to look over when your cravings get really bad. It won't make the craving go away but it will remind you why you are doing it and help you beat the habit.

Below you will find 10 of the hundreds of reasons one should stop smoking. Read through them all, and see how your life as a smoker would be different if you would quit smoking and start living a healthier life.

1. Bad Odor

Smoking carries with it a very unique odor, that will follow you everywhere. It saturates your clothes, hair, car, home and your breath. You reek of it all day long. No amount of mints or gum are going to get rid of that bad breath, let alone the amount of air freshener it takes to get your house and car back to smelling normal.

2. Lots more Wrinkles

You can always pick a smoker out of a crowd. Aside from the odor that is following them, they have more than 10 times the amount of wrinkles as a non-smoker. Not to mention the greyish pale skin, and yellow teeth and fingers.

3. Your Lungs fill with Toxic Substances

Okay maybe not quite toxic, but they do fill with phlegm, mucus and tar. As your lungs fill with these substances it reduces the amount of oxygen and nutrients between the tissues and bloodstream. Smokers also have a lot harder time breathing. Stop smoking and within 12 hours your lungs begin the healing process.

4. Are you Depressed?

Smokers are twice as likely to become depressed than non-smokers. So if you find yourself down in the dumps or always looking at the world negatively it could be from your daily nicotine intake.

5. Pricey

Have you ever stopped and figured up how much money you spend a week or a month on cigarettes. You might as well roll up six dollar bills, light em and let em burn everyday. Thats almost $2,000 every year, even more if you are paying seven to nine dollars for every pack of cigarettes. What if you smoked your entire life from age 18 til you die at age 65? Figure that up, at six dollars a pack, and one pack a day that is over $85,000, you just burnt a car or a house in some markets.

6. Want to have children?

When you smoke you lower the ability have children. If you a woman it makes it more and more difficult to become pregnant, and if you are a man it makes you infertile, and harder to get a woman pregnant. Not to mention the possibility of having erectile dysfunctions.

7. Problem Pregnancy

If you are pregnant, be prepared to have some difficulties with your pregnancy. Women who smoke during pregnancy are more likely to experience complicated pregnancies, where the fertilized egg begins to develop in the slender fallopian tube instead of the uterus. Because of your smoking, your baby may have a lower birth weight and birth defects too. You are also more likely to deliver prematurely or miscarry.

8. Bad Role Model

If you have children then you'll know what I mean. Children like to imitate their parents. So if mommy or daddy smoke, that makes it cool or ok to do. So be a good role model and stop smoking, if not for you, then for your children or the children you are around.

9. Second Hand Smoke

Not only is it a bad influence to smoke around others, but it kills them too. By the time you child is 5 years old they will have inhaled the equivalence of 102 packs of cigarettes. Children and adults who are exposed to second-hand smoke are at a higher risk of developing lung cancer and other respiratory problems, including shortness of breath, coughing and more phlegm.

10. Smokers Die Young

Smokers die a lot younger than non-smokers, studies have shown that one cigarette will take 7 minutes off your life. Not to mention the higher risk of heart attacks, respiratory problems, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and lung disease.

So I hope that after reading just some of the side effects smoking has on you and the ones you love you are ready to quit. If you are, there are plenty of resources out there for you.

It is a well-known fact that tobacco use is bad for our overall health, but we keep on smoking cigarettes and try to justify our reasons for doing so. Also, we have been bombarded with all sorts of prohibitions in order to rid ourselves of the vice, such as a greater number of public places where tobacco use is not sanctioned, the escalating cost of cigarette sticks and lots of brand-new methods to quit using tobacco. But most individuals continue to fail and backslide! In some cases, it's merely a matter of getting the right reasons to begin a new way of life. This article presents several great incentives to quit using tobacco once and for all, plus the elements that make cigarette smokers flunk in their mission to triumph over the habit.

There are lots of benefits to being nicotine-free, and these advantages could be organized into four categories: monetary, mental, health as well as personal / social. The financial advantages of stopping smoking are fairly evident, especially in the current economic environment. A regular nicotine junkie wastes thousands of dollars every year on cigarettes in spite of the soaring cost of cigarette cartons. Aside from the existing market price, some states have appended as much as $2 to the price of tobacco, making a single pack cost about $9 or $10 each.

For nonsmokers, this would be enough reason to give up using tobacco, but many continue to smoke in spite of the monetary burden. Think about the amount of money you can save annually by quitting! You may get started on a mutual fund, save up for a long vacation or pay off your mortgage, among other possibilities.

Even though it is not really considered by plenty of men and women as a legitimate reason to kick the damaging vice, it is a widely known fact that your internal well-being is substantially and negatively affected by tobacco use. If you keep on smoking, your focus is going to stay on having your next cigarette stick instead of what is transpiring around you. Smoking prohibitions that are followed by office buildings, restaurants and other public places may trigger tension and annoyance, which will consequently influence your relationships with other folks and your overall behavior. When you quit smoking, you wouldn't be under the physiological and psychological control of nicotine, and you could focus on the more important things in your daily life.

Like the financial rewards of being tobacco-free, the health advantages are fairly evident. If you give up smoking, you substantially lower your risk of suffering from cardiovascular disease and lung cancer, along with other smoking-related conditions. Your heart doesn't need to work that hard to pump your blood through your veins, which smoking will constrict. Also, your blood pressure level would go down and you will have a lot more strength and endurance for physiologically demanding activities.

Scores of scientific studies show that as fast as 20 minutes after you quit using tobacco, your pulse rate and blood pressure level would drop; in twelve hours, the carbon monoxide level in your body would begin to go down. Your lungs will also begin to patch themselves up, and they're going to start to function normally 60 to 90 days after your last cigarette.

When it comes to the personal / social group, the benefits are more subtle. First of all, your hair, breath and clothing wouldn't smell horrible and would be a lot less offensive to people who don't smoke cigarettes. Most tobacco smokers generally do not realise just how bad they smell until they stop smoking. Apart from that, your home as well as car wouldn't reek of tobacco. Plenty of ex-smokers have also washed their draperies and walls, cleaned their furniture and rewashed their clothes after they've stopped using tobacco. The top social and personal advantage of quitting cigarette smoking is that you present your relatives and good friends with a healthier environment to stay in and minimise their odds of breathing in secondhand smoke!

Lots of women and men are going to feel that all these reasons will successfully entice nicotine users to quit. Sadly, it is not as easy as it appears. Nicotine is incredibly addictive and makes quitting unthinkable for so many people despite all of the consequences. Luckily, these incentives can be augmented by support groups, stop smoking aids, and guidance from your loved ones. Bear in mind that tobacco use does not need to dominate your way of life and that your overall health and well-being is certainly more important than tobacco! Life is a great thing to have, and you should do all that you could in order to prolong your life expectancy!

Having several good reasons to quit smoking is one of the greatest keys to success. If your reasons are not solid, there is a greater chance that you will give up and start smoking again.

Of course, everyone's reasons for wanting to quit smoking are different, but here are a few of the most popular choices:

Your health. The number one reason to quit smoking is that it's unhealthy. Smoking increases your risk for lung cancer, as well as other diseases. Furthermore, smokers are more likely to get sick, or have a cold last longer. Quitting smoking will greatly improve your health.

Children. While many people do enjoy smoking, there are few people that want their children to grow up to smoke. Unfortunately, children often mimic the behavior of their parents and other caretakers, so if they are around smoking adults, they are more likely to start smoking. They're also more likely to start smoking at a younger age because they will have access to cigarettes in the house. If you have children, it's a good idea to quit smoking for their benefit.

To reach fitness goals. At some point, people find that smoking cigarettes affects their athletic performance if they are already active. Others find it hard to start an exercise program while they are still smoking. If you quit smoking, you'll be able to do better, whatever sport you choose to play.

The health of others. If you are frequently smoking around non-smokers, you may want to consider quitting in order to benefit their health. Second hand smoke is just as bad as smoking yourself, but these people are not choosing to smoke.

You just plain stink. You may not notice it, but others certainly do. If you smoke cigarettes, you will smell like cigarettes no matter what you try to mask the smell. This could negatively affect your job and personal life, especially if the other people around you are non-smokers.

While of course your own reasons to quit smoking must be deeply personal, hopefully this has given you some ideas to get started.

We all know that smoking does great harm to our health. For example, those people who are addicted to smoking easily get lung cancer. Heavy smokers look 10 to 20 years older than their real ages. Today, we will focus our attention on the reasons why we should quilt smoking.

Firstly, smoking makes people look older by restricting the flow of blood and oxygen to the skin. And it easily causes fatigue which directly influences your daily work and activities.

Secondly, smoking restricts breathing through the production tar and phlegm coated the lung. It is a great threaten for your health.

Thirdly, the risk of getting a heart attack will be whittled down by 50% if you stop smoking.

Fourthly, heavy smoking can make a person loose self-control ability. Due to the nicotine withdrawal symptoms, most addicts can not help getting back to smoking even though they do not want to. If you find yourself in a difficulty to resist the cravings of nicotine, go to the quit smoking aids where can help you by offering other products which include nicotine patches.

Fifthly, 10 to 15 years non-smoking can reduce the risk of getting lung cancer by 50%. Suppose you can stop smoking before 35 years old, the negative effect caused by smoking to shorten your life expectancy will be lessened.

Many smokers have questioned themselves, 'why stop smoking'? It would certainly need a much longer article than this to resolve that question fully. However, you will find enough reasons, hopefully here to make the average smoker stop and re-think their particular smoking habit.

Many years ago cigarette companies could actually pretty much 'get away with murder'. Those days have long gone. When actor doctors could pose, detailed with stethoscopes, affirming the great merits about their particular make of cigarette. Actually, my own dad used to say that 'smoking cleared his chest'. My Father died of double pneumonia at age 64, his own ailment greatly exacerbated by frequent lung smoking.

We know a great deal now about the risks posed by breathing in tobacco smoke, together with the nowadays commonly available information and health problems as a result of smoking. The question should not be 'why stop smoking'? Instead 'when do i stop'? The answer to that dilemma ought to be - "Now!"

Let's look closer at the damaging materials in, not merely the tobacco, but the slowly burning paper used in the making of cigarettes. You will find approximately 400 generally noxious chemicals, which includes arsenic, cyanide and carbon monoxide. We discover that there are also about 4,000 chemical compounds in smoke and from these there are around 40 carcinogens (cancer initiating compounds).

These numbers are quite scary. Yet if they're not reason enough to resolve the question "Why stop smoking?" then you will discover the various health problems proven to be specifically associated with cigarette smoking. Let us examine them.

Cancer

Beginning with probably the most prevalent concern relating to this habit, cancer would certainly rank at the pinnacle. The tars within smoking cigarettes have been proven to be cancer causing and ninety percent of lung cancer is because of smoking. 20 % who smoke over 15 cigarettes a day will die of lung cancer. 10 % of people who smoke between three and fifteen cigarettes daily will die of lung cancer. Check this with the fact that only one half of one percent of non smokers dies of lung cancer.

Cardiovascular Disease

Smoking cigarettes increases the hardening of the blood vessels. This results in constricting in the blood vessels which may bring about the development of blood clots. The clots can cause coronary thrombosis should they move to the blood vessels leading to the heart itself. Should they end up in the brain they could trigger 'Strokes'.

The impediment of blood circulation regularly leads to high blood pressure and at its worst can cause gangrene in the bodies' extremities.

Chronic Pulmonary Problems

One more type of condition frequently directly attributable to smoking is emphysema and chronic bronchial problems (bronchitis). Scientists have identified evidence of emphysema in close to 95% of smokers as in contrast to 10% of non smokers.

Many smokers stay in a bubble of unlikely optimism. That is irrespective of the free accessibility to the above mentioned statistics. The overriding thinking here seems to be 'it will not happen to me'. Regardless of the horrible catalogue of illnesses and death due to cigarette smoking, by some means, they will consider they're exempt. Others seek to have their cake and eat it and rather than asking the question - 'why stop smoking?' These people instead ask the question - 'why stop smoking completely?'

This second group have adopted the exact same thinking as an alcoholic that is convinced that he will be in a position to control his alcohol consumption and keep to a glass of wine with a supper and nothing more. Or the drug addict, that believes he can handle his habit to suit their needs. This will never occur and smokers who believe this may well at first cut down to a 'reasonable limit', yet will quickly be return to their traditional usage.

As a psychotherapist, I am able to help people smoking with great result. I make use of hypnosis. However, I do not treat all people. It all is dependent on their answers to some questions. The first question I ask ahead of any other is - 'are you genuinely serious about giving up smoking'? I refuse to treat any person in the event they dither and attempt to rationalise their addiction in order to keep on at a 'reduced rate'. It is just the person that, for what ever personal reason, genuinely wishes to quit, that will benefit from hypnosis to stop smoking. If somebody else wishes you to quit that's almost never adequate reason. YOU really need to want to stop, yourself.

The good news is that the human body comes with a boundless capability for recovery and repairing itself. This regenerating process kicks in right away. Yet again, this is good news for the smoker who gives up. Many of my successfully hypnotised clients report there's a rise to their breathing capacity within a week of quitting. In addition, after fifteen years of abstinence the long term cigarette smoker will have the same probability of survival as that of a non smoker. Nonetheless, inside the first year of stopping you will find excellent improvements to appear.

These are the brutal facts regarding tobacco smoking. I have attempted to be completely straight with you in his article. Nevertheless the only person who can decide if they should quit or continue is the person themself.

Quitting smoking benefits are endless. The  top 5 benefits in my opinion are included in this article. I do want to let you know that these benefits by themselves will not help you quit smoking, but hopefully they will provide you with the motivation that you need to butt out for good.

Benefit #1: 90% of lung cancer sufferers are smokers. Most smokers once they are diagnosed quit smoking immediately, which proves that quitting smoking is possible. Within 10 years of quitting  smoking, the risk of lung cancer is cut in half.

Benefit #2: The majority of smokers tend to have high blood pressure. When you stop smoking, your blood pressure will come down on its own.  Having high blood pressure makes your heart work harder and can result in heart disease.

Benefit #3: Smokers on average die approximately 10 years sooner than non-smokers. The sooner that you quit smoking, the sooner the risks associated with smoking begin to diminish.

Benefit #4: Smoking for years, as I'm sure you know, causes you to have an almost debilitating cough. 3 -12 months after you quit smoking that cough should be completely gone.

Benefit #5: The last of the top 5 benefits of quitting smoking is that not only can you smell things better, but you will also smell better yourself. This may seem to be a minor benefit, but how many times have you gone somewhere and been self conscious about the fact that you smell like a cigarette?

There are many many more benefits to be had by quitting smoking and these are just the top 5 in my opinion. Quitting smoking is difficult and it may take a few attempts to be successful, but the most important thing is to keep trying until you are successful. Don't get discouraged if you aren't successful the first or even the second time.

To stop smoking, smokers need strong motivation to drive them to kick the nicotine habit. Indeed, there can be strong personal reasons, pressure from peers and family members or due to social stigma attached with smoking to give up the habit.

The following list tries to address the psychological and emotional side of benefits smokers can derive when they take the arduous journey of quitting smoking.

1. Smoking is no more 'cool'

Cigarette smoking no more considered cool compared to 70s and 80s when everyone smoked. The smoking habit considered unhealthy. Cigarette companies generated the 'cool' image due to cleverly designed commercials. For someone intelligent, the appeal of coolness is diminishing given the health hazard the smoking habit carries. There are mandatory ghastly looking images on cigarette packs in some countries not only horrifying, but also a revelation.

2. Stop buying packs of cigarette saves you lot of money

For a moment, imagine how many cigarettes a smoker smokes in a year on an average 20 cigarettes a day. Cool 7000 cigarettes a year! Astounding, right? No! Try the numbers if one smoked for the last 10 years. That totals to 70,000 cigarettes. Now, that is worrying. We have not considered special occasions, weekends; jaunts to nightclubs where one tend to smoke more than usual, sometimes two times the average. This puts the numbers even higher.

Just do the math and see how much cigarette one has burnt in her life. Interestingly, the amount of money one spends just to satisfy addiction is staggering. It is fraction of a dollar, no doubt, for each cigarette. However, how much money one spends on buying cough medicine, breath fresheners, throat fresheners, teeth whiteners, and visiting dentists just because one wanted to be normal?

3. Increased Confidence levels once one stop smoking.

You look like a rock star to others who are trying to quit smoking. Apparently, almost every other smoker wishes to stop smoking one day. However, how many honestly stop smoking and never become a smoker again in their lives? You will be surprised to find out how people expression can change when one mention that she quit smoking. It is shocking for most of smokers and pleasant surprise for many of her not smoking friends. Just imagine how tall she can walk!

4. Worry no more about how bad your breath smell in front of clients or customers

The cigarette smoke smells nasty. Smoking creates bad odor in your mouth and few feet around you. The smell lingers longer if you smoke in an air-conditioned room. You make every other not smoking person to suffer because of your habit. Does it sound selfish? Perhaps, yes. Stop smoking and never worry about the stink again.

5. Save astounding amounts of time

Can you imagine how much time one save by stop smoking? If you are a busy person and a smoker, you can gain lot by stop smoking. It is a simple arithmetic.

One may argue that he or she is smoking the cigarette while working. The smoker while smoking unknowingly idle away productive minutes. How much time you end up wasting just for smoking every year? You be the judge.

6. No embarrassing stares at you

Nowadays, many public places are out of bounds for smoking. However, when smokers lit a cigarette in places with children, senior citizens, pregnant women, and sick persons, for example, invite cold stare from others. It is embarrassing for both the guilty smoker and others. You can walk guilt free when you quit.

7. Feel healthier and fresh day after day

We know there are nearly 2000 types of chemicals produced while smoking and some are hazardous and carcinogen! Smoking can cause irreparable damage to mouth, gums, teeth, and lungs. We are wise enough to stay away from death inviting sticks.

8. Help your society to become smoke free and earn good karma

Leading by example, you can help others to quit smoking. You can motivate others who are trying to quit smoking. You will earn good karma by doing this.

9. Make your family members happy and healthy

Do you know how happy your friends, family members and others feel for you when you stop smoking? It is certainly a feel good factor for you. You help them to eliminate passive effects of smoking. The whole environment becomes healthy. You will love it.

10. Develop cleaner and healthier living environment

Imagine the cigarette butts, empty boxes that thrown around on the street by un-mindful smokers. By quitting smoking, you are helping to keep the clean environment and smoke free. Our world beset with global pollution. By quitting, you can contribute positively to the global cause.

One of the major benefits of quitting smoking is that you begin to look younger after you quit. Smoking dehydrates and deoxygenates the skin. Therefore, when you quit smoking, you start to look brighter. With smoking, lines and wrinkles might start to appear around the lips and skin. Quitting helps reduce these lines wrinkles and the eyes look brighter.

Your sense of smell and taste also improves a lot after smoking termination. Therefore you've got a better eating experience. It helps you cut back on the intake of salt because smokers generally start taking more of these to increase their taste of food. This reduces the probabilities of heart problems and high blood pressure.

Due to the tar and nicotine present in cigarettes, the teeth get stained. After you quit smoking, your teeth won't be discolored and your breath will start to smell good. Another benefit is that you are going to not be touched gum diseases.

Once you give up smoking, you will be ready to save the amount that you spend on your cigarettes. You could use an identical quantity for other purposes like shopping, holidays or other necessities.

If you cease to smoke, you may also save a substantial amount of cash on your insurance costs. Insurance firms typically charge 65% further amount for the life insurance premiums of smokers. Likewise , many insurance companies charge smokers with extra premium amounts for their home insurance as their homes are likely to catch fires than those of nonsmokers.

Fertility issues are a common ill effect of smoking in both the genders. In reality, it can even cause men to be impotent. Ladies who smoke need a little longer to conceive than the usual. Females who smoke are at a chance of premature delivery. They might also give birth to youngsters who are physically deformed. Mothers of newly born should quit smoking else it may lead to the death of the child.

Quitting smoking has many health advantages too. It lessens your odds of contracting many illnesses, like marginal vascular illness, cancer and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Smoking also lessens your likelihood of many unwanted conditions, such as optic neuropathy, macular degeneration, osteoporosis, psoriasis, cataract and tooth loss.

The entire body shape improves for better by quitting smoking. Smoking changes the hormone secreting glands, and therefore smokers accumulate more fat around their waist and upper body than their hips. This increases the waist-to-hip ratio and thereby heightens the risk of conditions such as breast cancers, diabetes, gall bladder problems and heart attacks.

Smoking is an unhealthy mental support system. Stopping smoking is a particularly giant feat and apart from the other benefits, it increases the self-esteem and confidence of the individual.

There are many benefits to stopping smoking. Most of the benefits are reductions in the risk of developing some disease or other. These benefits are the reason why you should stop smoking. They wont in themselves help you stop smoking but they will provide you with motivation to go on and learn how to stop smoking successfully.

Stop smoking benefit #1: When you smoke, the cocktail of hot gases and chemicals found in cigarette smoke damages your body. There are 4,000 of them in all! As a result, if you fall ill, you take longer to recover and/or heal. Stopping smoking will significantly improve your ability to fight disease.

Stop smoking benefit #2: Smoking causes damage to your mouth and gums. Smokers are more likely to suffer from 'acute necrotising and ulcerative gingivitis' (diseased gums) which increases the risk of tooth loss and gives you bad breath amongst other things. Urgh!

Stop smoking benefit #3: Smokers are 20 times more likely to suffer from angina than non-smokers.

Stop smoking benefit #4: Want to keep your eyesight? Smokers run twice the risk of developing cataracts when compared to non-smokers. Smokers are also more likely to develop type 2 diabetes and therefore diabetic retinopathy - the degeneration of the retina, leading to blindness. They are also twice as likely to suffer from macular degeneration of the eyes and amblyopia (loss of sight).

Stop smoking benefit #5: Hey stud! Men who smoke increase the risk suffering from erectile dysfunction, reduced ejaculate volume, reduced sperm counts and deformed, damaged or dead sperm. Basically, smoking is a good way to increase your chances of being impotent! Reduce your risks by stopping smoking as soon as possible.

Stop smoking benefit #6: Hey good looking! Smokers run twice the risk of suffering from psoriasis and skin wrinkling. Free radicals found in cigarette smoke damage skin tissues and reduce their elasticity more rapidly than non-smokers. This is why long-term smokers tend to look older and have a poorer complexion than non-smokers.

Stop smoking benefit #7: Cancer anyone? Smokers run an elevated risk of developing lung cancer. They also have a disproportionately high risk of developing throat, oesophageal, bladder, kidney, stomach, pancreatic, mouth and tongue and lip cancers!

Stop smoking benefit #8: 45% of all duodenum or stomach ulcers are found in smokers. Nicotine interacts with the parasympathetic nervous system (the automatic bit) and relaxes the stomach sphincters, allowing stomach excess into the oesophagus (heartburn) and the duodenum.

Stop smoking benefit #9: An aortic aneurism is the ballooning of the aorta which can result in it rupturing which leads to massive internal bleeding and quick, certain death. Smokers suffer 57% of all aortic aneurisms.

Stop smoking benefit #10: Stick around! Did you know that people who smoke between 1 and 14 cigarettes per day are 8 times more likely to die early when compared to non-smokers.. Smokers on 15 to 25 cigarettes per day are 13 times more likely to die early compared to non-smokers. Smokers who smoke over 25 cigarettes per day are 25 times more likely to die early!

Finally, there is a Japanese proverb that says "fall down seven times, get up eight". Stopping smoking is just like that too. You have to keep trying to stop. My advice as ever is never quit trying to quit.
