There are many reasons to give up smoking cigarettes. Here I will details what I believe to be the top 10.



1. Quitting Smoking will save your life. You can see why this is number 1.



2. Your quality of life will be greatly improved.



3. You will save a ton of money. Not only will you save around $7000 a year by not buying smokes, your health insurance premiums will be lower. And the longer you don't smoke, the greater the savings.



4. You will have fresh breath. Great for your social life!



5. Good health is one of your most precious gifts. By quitting smoking you health will improve dramatically.



6. Your fitness level will increase. If you play sports already you will perform better. If not you now have all the reasons and none of the excuses to get fit or try that sport you have always dreamed of. Try scuba diving or Karate!



7. By quitting smoking those around you will be healthier. Passive smoking kills.



8. You will look better. Quitting smoking will make you look years younger, even after a few days as your blood re-oxygenates.



9. Your risk of cancer will be dramatically reduced.



10. You will live a longer life to share with those you love. Once you have made the decision to quit, keep at it.



These are but a few reasons to stop. Once you have made the decision to quit, with determination, the right help and your own resolve you can quit. You owe it to yourself, your family and those who care about the most. You will feel better, live longer and have fewer health problems.
