Chances are that if you are smoker who isn't ready to quit, you are going to get angry at those who would fuss at you and tell you that smoking is bad for you and blah, blah, and blah, Right? If you don't want to listen to those around you, then at least listen to what your body is trying to tell you about what smoking cigarettes is doing to it. The quitting smoking benefits are way above any that come along with your love of lighting up after dinner or after a shower and once you've given up and adjusted you will begin to realize how much your body is affected by smoking.

Your body is an amazing machine made of bone and muscle. You are essentially suffocating more than just your lungs when you smoke. Every time you light up that cigarette, think about what is going inside your body because of it. You wouldn't turn up a bottle of poison and drink it would you? Then why do we put deadly carbon monoxide into our systems?

It's a bit like those old mystery movies where the wife is slowly poisoning her husband and he feels symptoms and the effects of the poison but doesn't do anything about it. You are doing the same exact thing to your body by smoking cigarettes, slowly damaging your body and affecting your health.

One of the greatest benefits will come in the form of new found energy. Others include better tasting food, and being able to breathe more easily, even while walking up those big hills carrying shopping. Your poor lungs won't give out as easy as they used to. Your body will heal the damage done to it by smoking on its own when you stop smoking.

Quitting smoking benefits are numerous when it comes to your body taking over and repairing the damage from cigarettes. Your lungs, while you are a smoker, become blackened and shrivel. When you stop smoking, you are going to start coughing up all that phlegm that has been in your lungs for a long time and then your lungs will look soon like they should again.

Don't you get tired of having that phlegm in your throat every time you cough? Don't you hate that smell in your nose sometimes that makes you think you are getting a sinus infection? Don't you hate that you are being controlled by the drug nicotine? You are a slave to nicotine when you are a smoker. You can't go for even a few hours before that nagging urge to smoke comes creeping up. Do you ever catch yourself not going places with people who don't smoke because you can't light up in the car with them? That is one way that the nicotine is controlling your life.

The benefits that you are bound to feel will make think you are a new person. You will be able to go places that you would never go to before because you smoked. You will be able to get outside and breathe in deeply the fresh air without having a coughing fit. The benefits are more than just the great improvements in your health. Your whole lifestyle will change when you stop smoking.

Your heart will love you for letting it have clean blood running through it again. You will be lowering your risk of heart disease and stroke. You will have more energy. You will lower your risk of lung cancer. You will also learn over what good food tastes like with improved taste buds. The benefits of stopping smoking far outweigh the ones that you feel when smoking cigarettes.
