Smoking, the billion dollar industry that is killing thousands of people each year around the world. Did you know it is the single largest preventable cause of death and disease in the the world?

If you've been smoking most of your life you may think that the damage has already been done and so why should you give up. But the truth is whether you've been smoking 1 year or 40 years you will still receive the benefits of giving up smoking.

Within One day of stopping smoking your blood pressure, pulse rate and body temperature will return to normal. The carbon monoxide levels in your blood will return to normal and your smokers breath will begin to disappear

Within 3 Days your chance of having a heart attack will decrease and your nerve endings will begin to redevelop. Your ability to smell and taste will improve dramatically. Breathing will also become easier.

Within 2 Months your circulation will improve. Your lungs will become clearer and your chances of getting an infection will decrease. Your fatigue is reduced giving you more energy and your smokers cough will improve.

After One Year your chances of getting a heart attack will half and your chances of getting cancer will also greatly reduce. This one of the big reasons you should quit right now.

After 10 Years the risk of you having a stroke or heart attack will be the same as someone who has never smoked in their life.

Quitting smoking before the age of 30 eradicates the effects of smoking on your health in later life. If you are in this age bracket you should seriously consider quitting as soon as possible to improve your health for the rest of your life.

Those are some of the health benefits of quitting smoking but there are numerous other benefits not related to health.

Imagine for a minute the money you could save. If your going through a packet a day, which would cost you maybe $10, multiply this by a year, and you've got almost $4000 dollars your throwing away each year to something that is effectively killing you. Wouldn't you rather spend this money on a holiday or something useful?

Also think about how good you'll feel about yourself for proving to yourself that you are not a slave to the smoking companies and you have the power to do what you want.
